Reporting incorrect earnings

Postby bglick » Wed Mar 21, 2012 11:00 pm

Hey everyone,

I play on the merge network, and play $2+0.20 SNG's (haha, transitioning from live to online). 1st place pays $9, 2nd: $5.40, and 3rd: $3.60. I am running PT3 on Mac Os 10.8. What's weird is that sometimes (only my first 4 cashes) it reports my winnings correctly, but since then (40+ tournaments), it reports 3rd place as $4, 2nd place as $6 and 1st place as $10. Why is this? And how do I fix this?

2nd, and this does not seem like a bug, but more of an oversight when building the program. If so instance, I place 3rd and thus win "$4" (really $3.60, but PT3 reports it as $4), but then do not cash in the next tournament. Between these 2 tournaments, PT3 will say I lost $0.80 between these 2 tournaments, even though I should be up $1.80 (again, in actuality $1.40, but PT3 is reporting winnings incorrectly). How do I fix this problem?

Merge do not specify buy-in or results information in their hand histories - PT3 does it's best to infer the information from the tournament name, but this is an inexact science. Please compress and attach the hand history files for tournaments which are not detected correctly to a Support Ticket and tell us the actual buy-in and amount you won.

In the meantime you can update the results from the menu Tournaments > Enter Results.

Hi

I have same issue in microgaming network .
I play NL4 6-max cashtables and my win/loss summaries isnt same amount what i realy win or lose ..
Also in session tab PT shows my 1 hand winning sum 5,10 EUR but in BB-s it shows 63,75 wich should be then 2,55 EUR .

Is this only my problem and can i solve it or there is some microgaming bug in saving HH ?

Best regards

Some MicroGaming skins have recently introduced a subtle change to their hand history format, but this doesn't affect all skins and that makes it very hard to detect accurately in all cases. Please compress your GameHistory.dat and attach it to a Support Ticket with a link to this thread so that we can check out your hands.

I am playing MTTs on Merge and the buy ins and cashes are not being recorded. This post implies that this is normal - can you confirm this? I searched a long time before I found this thread so was surprised that this is not more talked about if it is the case.

We detect as much result and winnings information as we can. Unfortunately, most sites do not put sufficient information in the hand histories (I believe Merge included) and so we can only do the best that we can with the information we are given.

You can edit your tournament results manually though via the Tournaments --> Enter Holdem Results window, which would keep your results graph looking like it should.

i am having the same problem with Merge network

i am trying to grind the 50 + 10 cent tables to build my bankroll

i got 94 hand history's that i wanna update
i dont mind doing it my self if i can use the auto detect button lol
but to go threw every single one thats a pain

is there a way i can use the auto detect button?
to go threw all my 1st place finishes
then do the 2nd places finishes
then 3rd?

Thanks!.

You can try - we should be trying to auto detect as much as we can during play but it may work. Just highlight all tournaments and click the Auto Detect button in the Tournament Results window. We do the best we can but if the information is not there, the information is not there.

No, that isn't possible - results for each tournament need to be updated separately.
