Boss Media import stopped working

Postby kearney » Tue Jan 10, 2012 12:57 pm

Yo!

I have problems importing my Boss Media hands. Problems started two or three days ago, PT3 still finds the files to monitor (39 files found) but is not importing the hands stored in those files.

I am running the latest beta of PT on a Windows 7 Home 64bit operating system.

Any ideas what could be wrong here? I did not notice a software update, so everything SHOULD work as ususal.

Holla!

A short upate on my situation:

I had to uninstall the PostrgreSQL 9.1 software. The folder containing my databases was ~27GB big and grew even bigger while monitoring those 39 files, so maybe there was a problem with the databse, I dont know.

Which PostreSQL version do you recommend to use with PT3 on a Windows 7 64bit system?

We would recommend using the 64 bit version of 9.0 - there are known issues with 9.1 that cause problems for PokerTracker.

As a rule of thumb for database size: 100k hands of full ring = 1G. You can do math from there to derive other numbers (multiply by 2/3 for 6max, or 2/9 for heads up). This will slightly overestimate database size but that's better than the alternative.

ok, will try 9.0 then.

My database has less than 300k hands total (Omaher and Holdem Cashgame - I delete tourney hands as I dont enter the results for tourneys manually).

If you changed the logging settings for PostgreSQL the folder can get larger very quickly but that's the only thing that I can think of that would do that.
