HUD not showing for players that I have set up aliases for

Hi,

There are a number of players at Cake poker whom I have linked to aliases. This maybe somewhat borderline with regards to Cake’s T & C, but as far as I can tell, it’s technically allowed. Only it doesn’t work, the sessions are recorded and linked correctly in PT3, but the HUD doesn’t appear for them at all (players without any alias work fine). The only alias that I can get the HUD to show for is my own.

So my question is should I be able to see the HUD in these cases, or is it due to Cake’s stance on tracking software?

As far as I'm aware that should work - please restart PT3 with the Logging Enabled link, reproduce and report this problem so that we can investigate further for you.

Am I being very stupid? I have tried to generate a report for this issue, the submit ticket link I've followed takes me to https://www.pokertracker.com/support/?cat_id=3. From there a click PT3, but nothing happens, apart from the screen refreshing and remaining at the same page.

EDIT: I was being abit stupid, i now see that top selection requires another, in order to get further. However, still can't figure out how to submit a bug report.

I decided to work on this for abit, before submitting a support ticket, as it didn't appear that the log files showed any problems and a screen-shot would show literally nothing (just some players with a missing HUD). The good news is I have managed to fix it. I had to remove all the Cake aliases that I had created, now after re-linking them and rebuilding the cache the HUD is showing as it should. Don't know why, maybe something changed in a PT3 update since I originally made the aliases, but anyhow it's solved now.

I spoke to soon. The HUD for aliases was only working for the main name chosen. The problem is documented in this post https://na3.pokertracker.com/forums/vie ... it=aliases

The post also includes a bizarre solution, that appears to work, although this time I hesitate to say it does for certain until further testing. When adding a player to an alias ensure that 'All Sites' is selected from the drop down box that appears; if you filter the player selection box by site then the HUD doesn't display (atleast if linking players across different networks).
