Trouble when Import "Processed" directory

Sorry for my english, i hope you understand me.

Il recently crash my computer bud i had a backup of pokertracker on an other disk.

On my new computer i had installed pt3 and i tried to import processed directory wich is around 300Mo.

But it's still in progress and the data directory in postrgresql is now around 150 Go ! And i have no more space on my 'c' partition.

Is it normal ? What can i do ?

300MB of text hand histories is pretty big and that will make a very big database - exactly how big depends on the type of hands you have. How many hands have been imported?

Thanks for your answer.

I don't remember exactly the number of hands... Maybe more between 500 000 and 1 million.

But in text file it will be less compress than in database. How can it be this opposite ?

And if do the import in 5 times (for example, so 60 Mo each) could it be better ?

The database will take up the same amount of space regardless of the size of the blocks in which you import the files, and will take up much more space than the text hand history (it stores the hand history text as well as a large amount of information about every hand and the players in each hand).

I tried to import just a part of the processed directory : Only 6 Mo.

It's runnin from 2 hours and had already used more than 20 Go.

Is it normal ?

I wouldn't expect that, no. How many hands does it say that it has imported?
Are these original hand history files? What site are they from?

First file 13 hands and second file 37 hands, and it's still running for few hours....

Something is definitely not right there - please attach those files to a Support Ticket with a link to this thread so that we can find out what is going on.

I submit a ticket.

But i have notice that the trouble still appear when the file, which is imported, contains same hands that a file imported just before.

I have too many subdirectory to check each file but it's seems to be that. Why some files contain the same hands than other file ?

If you only have the original hand history files written by your sites directly to your computer then this can happen when using Auto Import. Some sites lock the hand history files so PT3 isn't able to move them if you haven't closed the table (or even the site's lobby) when you stop the import. This can lead to a copy of the file being made in the Processed folder, and then the file being moved next time you start the import. Duplicate hands shouldn't cause any problems for Manual Import, though, so we'll check out your ticket - thanks.
