Hangs when installing PostgreSQL

What happens again when you try to manually start the service?

Could you look into your Windows Event Viewer and let me know what it is saying. Hopefully it gives a more useful log then the last one from the installer.

There were some others but they were just repeats.

Lets delete the PostgreSQL service and the postgres account then try installing.

From the command line run:

[code1sx]sc delete pgsql-8.2[/code1sx]

Then run:

[code1sx]net user postgres /DELETE[/code1sx]

Now try installing and see where you get. If it fails, provide me the latest Windows Event that was logged. (Please omit any old events)
