PT3 on Linux PostgreSQL 8.2.7

Postby samag » Thu May 01, 2008 5:47 pm

I have PostgreSQL 8.2.7 installed on a linux machine (Fedora 8). First I worked through connectivity, then permission errors, but now I get this when trying to run PT3 for the first time and create the database:

--------
Unable to create PostgrSQL database: tom1
Reason: Unable to login to database (template1). Reason: server
closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the
server terminated abnormally before or while processing the
request.
--------

Any thoughts?

Are you able to remote login to your PostgreSQL server? I think you are still having a permissions problem.

Best regards,
