PostgreSQL noobie problems :)

Postby Joss » Thu May 15, 2008 11:38 am

Hi

Ive downloaded PostgreSQL for the first time when i downloaded PT3 .

Ive started a new database and imported all my hands from PT2 Access ...

But im having some problems configuring other poker tools to PostgreSQL ..

Its asking for database / username and password .

Im using the database shown in PT3 under preferences / import played hands.

Username is postgres, and the password was either postgres or dbpass , but neither work !

Any advice is appreciated .

Try removing the password requirement all together:

Tutorial: How to remove password requirements in postgresql

This is not a security issue as you are only removing password requirements for your local machine, and you server will NOT respond to SQL requests from other computers (unless you open that option up).
