New User,
I created a cache as suggested. Do I now un-check the "Use database cache" now that the cache exists? Also, I know I saw how to get the HUD to not flicker, but can't seem to find it now--where is this again? Thanks.

No,leave the cache enabled.
The flicker-free drawing option is on the Preferences window, under the section for your site.
