won't replay hands

i'm having a problem replaying hands.

i click on the hand i want to replay, i get the usual box of text about the hand but when i hit the 'playback this hand' button nothing happens except a long wait looking at the hourglass before having to shut it down and re-start PT

any ideas?

Use the Reset Replayer Window Position option under the window menu in Poker Tracker.

just tried that and it doesn't seem to have changed anything

You can't go to any other windows in Poker Tracker when you click the replay option? It just freezes the entire program, is that what you are saying?

Use the Utilities > Repair A Poker Database option to see if that fixes the problem.

Use the Reset Replayer Window Position option under the window menu in Poker Tracker again.

Then, instead of opening the replayer from the hand history window, try to open it from the Ring Stats window. Click on the "r" button next to one of the data sections on the stats window.

Does this behave the same way?

exactly the same i'm afraid.
except this time the hand history log didn't appear first, it just gave me the 'eggtimer' and froze the screen

Open the File > Maintain Database Names window.

What are the entries you have on this window? What are the file names shown in the last column of every row on this window.

Has this function worked in the past? This is a recent development?
Do you use dual monitors?
