That's a PT3 database you need to do the PT2 database. Open the File > Maintain Database Names window. Look in the last field on this window, your PT2 PostgreSQL db name will be listed there. That is the db you want to select to reindex.

I read here that you can minimize CPU slowdown from PT usage by changing the setting for the hard drive. So say if I am looking for a hardware upgrade to fix this problem, am I looking at the hard drive being the main thing instead of a whole new computer altogether? I try telling my dad that the computer might be part of the problem other than the adjustments that can be made to the PT/PAHUD program settings but I can't specifically say which part and if I do get an upgrade, I am pretty much saying to get a whole new computer. Also, do you have tutorial on how to performance tune PostgreSQL for Poker Tracker 2?

I guess it depends on how old your computer is. If it's several years old, a new PC may be a better option that a new HD. I'm not really much of a hardware expert so you may try posting on the PAHUD forum, kraada and WhiteRider, etc. may be able to provide better insight into hardware questions.

As to PostgreSQL maintenance...how big is your database? Is if really huge where you have a ton of observed hands in it?

It's about 2 years old but it's not an old, slow CPU by any means. It runs fairly well to the point where it can handle PC games w/ high requirements and has a lot of RAM, etc. I am not sure how to see exactly how big the database is but I believe it to be pretty big because I play regularly for about 4 years now. I've logged in about 100k hands just from cash games this past year (not including tournaments). What else do you suggest I do? Do a database maintenance or something like that? Performance tune hard drive?

100K hands really isn't very big. Unless you have loaded a ton of observed hands you should be able to just do regular vacuum/analyzes using the PostgreSQL Database Functions window. Really, there are people that have over a million hands in a PostgreSQL db without any problems.
