Database Error

I must be misunderstanding something. The way I move the files is by going to (file-import hand histories- and get them from memory stick)

When I click on the files and OK to import I get the messages I have been writting about.

When I try to look at my tournament database is says info not available.

So are you saying that you have all your old hand histories but they are in text files on this memory stick you have? You didn't actually save the database files from the old computer so that you could just copy those over and do away with having to reimport every single hand?

If this is true, do you still have access to this old computer? If you do, then I recommend saving the files listed here...

Copy them to the new computer, drop them into the PT folder and hopefully then you would be able to open PT and see all the data without going through the hassle of reimporting.

I wasnt using postgtresql. I just went in to try to convert it but when I went to the help page to follow the steps it said "the file you requested could not be found."

I just uninstalled PTv2 on my new computer. I lost about this years sunday tournament data I would think, but things seem to be OK.

If I start PT3 on the new computer can I move the files from my old PTv2 computer over?

There are 2 parts to that FAQ link, the first part tells you what files to copy if you are using the default Access database. Do you have any of those files on the old computer??

Yes I had located them when I saw the link, I just wasn't sure if they would be compatable when I moved them over to PT3 on the new computer?

I'm confused as to what exactly your main objective is. If it's just to get PT2 data so you can import into PT3 then you can just import those files you have on the memory stick into PT3 using the manual import function of that program.

If you goal is to continue to use PT2 on the new PC then you would want to copy those Access MDB files from the old PC to the new PC and put them in the PT folder.
