Database erased after compacting

Yea so i spent like all day importing like 500,000 hand into pokertracker and after i was done i compacted the database, once i did that it erased pretty much my entire database minus 1000 hands. I thought you're supposed to compact the database every once in a while? anyone know how to get those hands back or do i have to do it all over again?

Are you using Vista on this computer? If so, then you aren't always running PT as administrator like you should be.

Go to the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder. Are there files called ptrack.mdb and/or ptrack_backup.mdb there? If so, what are the date/times on these files and the files sizes.

Now click on the Compatibility Files link/button. Are there files called ptrack.mdb and/or ptrack_backup.mdb there? If so, what are the date/times/sizes on them?
