general info, more detail ...

Postby christian » Fri Oct 17, 2008 3:48 pm

hi
in "general info" ... "more detail..."

steal success:
no flop% - what it means ?
fold% - what it means ?
Ww/oSD% - what it means ?

first action on flp after a preflop raise: it´s mean when i raise ?
bet% - it means my continuation bet ?

Player actions:
what it means: Bet/Raised/Check-Raised ?

i play cash in PS, using one database per month and i want to know if it´s possible to have
another database exclusive for tourney and sit´s and how i import all the info to this if when i play cash and these tourneys
i have the database of cash open ?

many tks
regards
christian

When you attempted to steal, this is the % of times these actions occurred in those hands. No flop % is the % of times there was no flop, fold % means you folded at some point in the hand, Ww/oSD is % of times you won the hand without going to showdown.

It's the % of times you bet the flop after you raised pre-flop.

These are the % of times you won w/o a showdown, folded, went to showdown and won at showdown when you bet/raised or check-raised on each street.

There is no reason to have a separate db for cash games and tournaments. The data is kept in 2 separate tables, the data is not combined.

The problem is you will have to make sure you import the right hands into the right database which I think may be tedious. You would create a new db the way you do every month and then when you want to import your tourney hands you'll have to open that database (File > Open Database) and then make sure you import into that one.

and then how can i solve it ?
its possible for instance to close the cash db of the month
then open my tourneys db and ask the history to PS, FTP, etc
and then close it again

tks again

Well, like I said, you have to open the tourney database when you want to import the tournament hands and the cash db when you want to import those hands. It's going to have to be up to you to figure out what hand history files contain tourney hands and which contain ring hands and make sure you import them into the right database.

i understand pat
but i see that the problem for instance is:
yesterday i was playing cash and 1 touney and 1 sit
and now in my cash monthly db i have all my cash hands
and when i go to "ps tournament results - manual entry"
i see my tourney and sit hands
now i ask you, it´s possible to delete these tourney and sit hand
and then reload or import it again to the "tourney and sit db"

tks again

Use the File > Tournament Results - Manual Entry > PokerStars window to remove the tournaments from the cash db. Then you need to find those tournament hand history files and import them into the tournament database. You can use the File > Import Hand Histories/Tournament Summaries window, Select Files To Import button to import them into the right db.

hi pat!
in order to calculate if my steal success is profitable i want to ask you:

no flop% - its the % hands that there is no flop, but maybe because "i fold or the other player fold", it´s ok ?

the 100% of hands in the steal success are between:

fold% - the hands that "i fold"
Ww/oSD% - the hands i won without sd
WSD% - the hands i went to sd (and inside of this W$SD%, means the % of hands i won when i went to sd)

its ok? that all 3 items above represente the 100% of steal hands

then in order to know if its profitable to me how i steal the blinds:

i won: Ww/oSD% hands
i won: WSD% * W$SD% hands

and lost the rest

its ok?

tks again pat
