ongame problem

Postby PoorTom » Fri Mar 07, 2008 7:03 pm

hi - today i started having problems with importing hands from redkings (part of ongame). had been working fine until today.

whole series of different problems, but only with some hands - others seem to import ok. looks like about 50 out of maybe 200 hands today had a problem. the main problems seem to be this sort of thing:

Error - There are no pre-flop betting actions (3) for player: Bolt35 for game #P4-62453376-73.

Error - There are no pre-flop betting actions (1) for player: Luleakille2 for game #P4-62451973-172.

Error with board cards for game #P4-62453376-99.

Error finding the blinds for game #P4-62451973-174.

Error finding the pre-flop action for game #P4-62453136-189.
This error is usually indicative of a hand where a player making a betting action is not listed in the seating section of the hand history.

Error - duplicate seats found for game #P4-62451973-169.
This error is usually indicative of the hand history information being improperly recorded in the PokerRoom (or skin) database file.

Error finding player remi68 checks, nora001 bets $4, remi68 folds.nora001 that appears in showdown section (1) for game #P4-62453376-44.
This usually indicates that one or more of the board cards was not found in the PokerRoom database file so that the SHOWDOWN line appears in the wrong place.

Error finding the pre-flop action for game #P4-62453136-159.
This error is usually indicative of a hand where a player making a betting action is not listed in the seating section of the hand history.

This indicates the PokerRoom database file you have PT importing from might be corrupt.

Under the Statistics menu on the lobby window you need to select "Advanced" > "Create Statistics File". Give it a name and then it will start to use a different file than the one that is corrupted. In Poker Tracker, on the File/Auto-Import PokerRoom (and skins) Hand Histories window click the Configure Hand History Files button and tell PT about this new file. Note also that you can delete the pointer to the older db file so PT doesn't keep trying to look at that each time and continue giving errors.

hi pat
thanks for the reply. i tried creating a new ongame database file and that seemed to work for a while, but then i started getting the same sorts of messages. i've tried creating new files a couple more times and basically get the same error messages straight away now (i did remove the old files from the autoimport list). some hands get imported, some don't - it's pretty weird. any further thoughts? am i going to have to reinstall something?
thanks

Are you using Vista?
Do you play at a lot of tables at the same time?
Ongame has many issues with their hand history functionality. You might also try completely uninstalling this Ongame software and reinstalling it.

hi again
i found what looks to be the solution to this, posting it for your and others' benefit. i had recently changed my firewall and antivirus software (to Threatfire and Spyware Doctor). It looks like Spyware Doctor was causing the problem - I've turned it off and now don't seem to have any errors importing hands from ongame.
