Database Error

I am getting says (ODBC microsoft access driver login failed) at the top of the window and "could not find files" in the middle of the window. I click OK and it goes to (login-data source, authorization-login name-password) window.

I saw this in the forums and renamed the ptrack.mdb file, but now I get this message.

"A database error has occurred.

DBcode: _1 Error Text: Database transaction information not available.

Call Settrans or settransobject function."

Does it tell you the name of the file it can't find?
What is the data source name it says on the login window?

If you are using Vista, you need to make sure PT is running as administrator, read the FAQ

Yes running PT as admin.

Now when I open it says

"Database Error

Unable to connect to the database.

100- No data was found to staisfy the request."

When I select files to import from my old computer it says

"A database error has occurred.

I click OK and it goes to the Data Source Login page and wont allow me to cancel or click OK. I then have to start task and end program to close it.




Thats it. I also have a problem when I open Poker-Ace Hud

Does Vista prompt you to cancel/allow PT to run?

There isn't any other kind of message before the "100- No data was found to staisfy the request."? No other errors/prompts?

Sorry I could not get back to you sooner.

Yes Vista promts me to allow PT. Everything seems OK with my PTO it is just the PTv2 program and it has carried over to the HUD.

The Poker-Ace Hud goes to the Login Authorization. When I hit cancel it says,

"SQL Connection Exception: Error fetching information: (mircrosoft)(odbc Driver Manager) connection not open"

I click Ok and then everything seems fine.

When I open PTv2 it goes to the Login Auth. and I click cancel it gives me the "database error 100-...." that I mentioned before. That is it until I tried to use other tools in the program.

Did you copy the PT2 database files from an old computer to a new one? If so, I would suggest to copy them over again, maybe something got corrupted during the transfer the first time.

I cant import/export anything with PT. Nothing works it gives me different error messages when I do that. I have thought about uninstalling the program, but would that lose any data that I have collected on this computer?

Why can't you copy the files from the old computer again? Did you tell me in a PM that you are having this problem on a new PC??

The first message of my thread was from when I tried to import the hands.

You aren't answering my question. The current database is corrupted. Why can't you take the database files again from the old computer and move them to the new one???
