Unable to create a new db

I'd like to create a new db since the old one seems to be too big.
I tried to add a new one from "mantain a db name" panel, but when I choose "create a new emty access db" I get this message:

"Unable to create a new empty database. The file "c:\programmi\poker tracker v2\emty.bak" was not found. Please contact......."

What should I do?

p.s. I would like to create a new postgres db, but it seems not possible, so i tried to create a access db first, then do the conversion. Am I right?

Install the latest PATCH, version 2.17.01g from this link (MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE PATCH INSTALL, the second link on this page, and NOT the full version:

Yes, that's right.

I'm concerned you are getting this error because it seems like you may have run some sort of utility on your computer that deletes files with names like "empty" and deletes files of 0kb? At least thats' when I've seen others get have this problem. With PT, it's not a big deal if it deletes this file because you can just download the latest patch again and it will put the file back. The problem is with PostgreSQL. There are a number of PostgreSQL files that are 0kb in size but PostgreSQL still needs those files. If the utility deletes these files then you are pretty much out of luck getting them back unless you have a recent backup.

So make regular backups of your PostgreSQL db's and if you are using this type of utility, consider not using it or telling it to not touch the PostgreSQL folder if that's possible.

I play on microgaming network, after the release of the new eurolinx software, I installed the patch named 21701h, to solve some import problems.
Now that I re-installed the previous patch, that you gave me, I have that problems again, but I can't find that patch anymore on the link someone gave me on 2+2 forum ( http://www.pokertracker.com/patch21701h.exe ).

Can you help me?
