Im out of memory when trying to import HH while playing on PS. I dont have any databases up, I just have the import Auto import HH window open, and when I looked at memory usage while operation was performing it was only using 1.5gigs out of 3gigs available.

You need to use the Utilities > File Splitter window to split the large hand history file into smaller files and import from those files instead of the one large one.

Where did you get these hand history files from? I've never seen this kind of error with just importing hand histories that PokerStars writes to the hard drive as you play. The only time I've seen it is when you got some hand history files from somewhere else and the files contain 1000's of hands per file.

Restart the computer.
Open PT and the auto-import window. Click the Enable Logging box. Hit Force Import.
If you still get this error, open PT again, go back to the auto-import window and click the View Log link.
Copy/paste the text of the log file into a reply.

Have you been importing tournament summaries for all of these tournaments you are playing and have you played in a lot of large tournaments where you are importing summaries for 1000's of player names?

The only thing I can think of is you have a database with a huge number of player names and when it caches all that data, it's running out of memory.

Try using the Utilities > PostgreSQL Database Functions window to do a FULL vacuum/analyze on the database.

yeah i have about 500k players in my database, and have been loading tournament summaries. What are my options I would rather have the HHs instead of the summaries.

FULL vacuum/analyze, I do that quite often. Tried again still no memory.
