Get the error--
File contains no Texas Hold'em hands or unable to determine what poker site this file came from.

I am having the same problem. It started a few hours ago. Apparently, FTP dosen't allow you to import observed hands (I installed the new FTP software earlier), but even the hands I am in, it reads the file but does not import any. Just looking for any help that can be offered

I don't think FTP can prevent PT from reading the hand histories. I think something in the format of the HH must have changed. If so, it is subtle...I"ve briefly compared an older hand history with the current one and can find nothing different.

PT cant read them because FTP no longer saves observed hands to disk.

Yes they do. I just examined them. AFAIK, FTP never recorded hands you did not participate in.

Open the FT auto-import window.
Click the Enable Logging box.
Play some hands for 5 minutes.
Then copy/paste the text of the log file into a reply.

Looks like the new files are interspersing each ascii character with a null (00) or they're using some kind of 16-bit encoding. Dumps of the files definately look different (using debug).

Actually, it looks like they are saving the files as UNICODE now instead of ASCII. I'll look into a patch.

I am locking this thread now, I'll post when there is an update in this thread...
