Library Manager error window

Postby leotsou » Sat Apr 19, 2008 8:35 pm

I already wrote to support but i will post it here just in case someone know how to fix it. Here is what happened and I am not sure if what I did caused it:

I was getting ready to play and data mining while waiting for a table at Full Tilt. I had PT, PAHUD, and FTP running. I was on a wait list and looking up the players in the General Info Window to see what notes I had on them. I added an additional note in the General Info window to the note window and then changed to another player. When I began to play PT imported the hands like normal for the first time at least, I cannot remember if it did it more than once and then I get this window from "Library Manager" saying "Fatal disk error". No more hands were being imported. I stopped and started many time, even reinstalled the mdb file from backup and it was the same. When I click "retry" again and again, I get another window saying "The database that you have set observed hand to go into could not be found, click on "Observed Hands" and choose database observed hand should be imported too." That window is blank. Any solutions?

I've never seen that exact error referencing a Library Manager.

I get another window saying "The database that you have set observed hand to go into could not be found, click on "Observed Hands" and choose database observed hand should be imported too." That window is blank. Any solutions?

What do you mean that window is blank? The Observed Hands settings are on a tab on the auto-import window.

I tried restarting it and it worked for about 7 or 8 imports and then I got the Library Manager window again.

After the Library Manager Window came up and I went to the Observed Hands tab, it was blank, nothing. Upon restart the Observed Tabs was normal until that fatal error occurred. Maybe I have to delete that player that I made that notation in the General Info Tab???

When I went to the Observed Hands Tab and it clicked over, it was blank.

Restart the computer and then try using the Utilities > Repair A Poker Database option.

If it still gives the error, open the File > Maintain Database Names window and double-click name of the database that you are having problems with. What is the file name and size of the file shown in the window that opens?

I also just replied to your last support ticket. Please reply to this forum post or the support ticket but not both.

Okay, I will keep it to this forum. You have probably read my last email but now when I start PT it loads up for a fraction of a second and then turns off. It is possible to re-install?

Thanks and sorry for taking so much of your time. Also I belong to StoxPoker and have a free PT3 but want to wait until you get PAHUD integrated.

Restart the computer.

When it comes back up, go to the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder and see if there is a file there called ptrack_backup.mdb - if there is, rename the current ptrack.mdb file to ptrack_bad.mdb and then rename the backup file to ptrack.mdb and try to open PT again.

Does this work?

Backup all of the files from the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder that have MDB files extensions EXCEPT FOR the file called ptregv2.mdb. So there should be files like ptrack.mdb, hhdb.mdb and possible some like hhcopy.mdb, etc.

Copy these files to another folder for safe keeping.

Now, use the Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs window to uninstall PT.

Then reinstall PT - http://www.pokertracker3.com/products/PTH/download.php

Now try to open it again. Does it open? If so, close PT then copy those MDB files that you backed up to the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder again.

Try to open PT again. Does it open now or shut down right away?
