Import Poker tracker 2 databases

I have to import two PT2 db into PT3. The PT2 db are not postgre converted. What I have to do to import these db into PT3?

In PT2 export the hands to file - Utilities -> Export Hand Histories to File. Note where you export these to.
When that has finished (it could take a while if you have a lot of hands) open PT3 and do a Manual Import of the folder you just exported to.

I did it but I got a lot of errors ("unable to get hand history....") Out of 140000 hands I was able to export to file 38 hands

Ah, sounds like you didn't have PT2 saving hand histories. If you don't have the hand history files you won't be able to import the hands to PT3. Did you back up the HH files anywhere else?

I'm going to move this to the PT2 forum to see if we can get the exporting issue solved.

If you get a lot of these type errors it means that either...

1) you at one point copied files from one pc to another but didn't copy the hand history database along with it therefore many of the hands are missing.

2) you have been importing observed hands with the "do not store actual hand history text" option.

Either way, unfortunately, if you don't have the actual hand history FILES that were used to import the hands then these missing hands will not be able to be converted...even if you converted to PostgreSQL in PT2 first, it's still not going to help.
