2.17.02: Date/Time settings, External Windows????

Postby JimmyM69 » Tue Jul 01, 2008 3:46 pm

Due recent OS reinstall, and reinstallation of PT2.17.02, I note two problems, which may be related :?: :
1. I played a tourney today, but was unable to use the Tourney Time window, which only offered the "[Do Not Use This Feature]" option :o. I was also unable to load sessions into the GT window when opening Ring Games;
2. Going into Preferences, Tournament Dates, and selecting today's date gave me no tournies at all, even though the one I played was clearly visible when dates were not limited in the Preferences tab. Relatedly <?>, when seeking to limit Tourney dates in the Preferences window, there was no limiting effect - I could still see all my tournies, all dates, back to when I started playing them months ago

Since, perhaps in error, I suspect my Regional Date/Time Settings are incompatible, these are, From Control Panel, Regional & Language Options:
English Canada,
Short date: dd/MM/yyyy,
Long Date: MMMM d, yyyy.
Grateful help and advice,
Jimmy

You need to be letting Poker Tracker change your regional settings to English/US

Thank you Pat, for the speed & accuracy of your response.
However, whilst the thread you gave me solved my problem 2. (Preferences, Tournament Dates...), I fear I am still unable to resolve Problem #1: to open either of the TT or GT windows to load a session, and I am still restricted to the "[Do Not Use This Feature]" option, at least while I am not logged into a site. I am unable to populate these windows.

Do I actually have to be playing at a table and importing HHs to use these features, or am I correct in thinking the windows and tabs should be available even when not playing?
Once again, grateful your help.

If it's not giving you a list of sessions/tournaments to select then it's because those hands were imported when the regional settings were wrong therefore it's not showing anything from today. If you change the settings and start importing some hands for a new session/tourney played with the right settings then it should start showing sessions/tournaments for you to pick from.

Thanks reply, and sorry if I'm a PITA, but, even if I set the Preferences tab to All Dates, I can then see all players, and all past tournies, in the Summary & Tourney Notes tabs, but I am unable to populate the TT window (or GT, when I open a Ring Game database) with any sessions, even those from dates on which PT didn't "complain" about Regional Settings.

In my earlier OS/PT install, I was able to populate these windows while playing without a problem.
Perhaps I should just play on, and report to you if I'm unable to populate the windows later, next sessions, unless you have a comment/cure?
Jimmy, with thanx for your patience.

This is what I said to do above. If you didn't have the regional settings set correctly then the "import_date" which both external window use is going to be wrong therefore it's not going to show you anything. With things setup correctly the future sessions/tournaments should work.
