I want to talk about the only issue with PT4 that making my playing experience poor – hand marking. While I like the theoretical idea about “categories”, “mark hand in progress” is simply great and it all may be convenient to use when playing a few tables, it’s simply a disaster when multi-tabling. It’s not only that I have no time to think about what should I click in menu, but other tables making the active one to lose focus or something (even though I’m using Table Ninja: active table under mouse) hence forcing hand-marking menu to disappear at the very wrong moment .
Being a fan of HEM1 I can propose an idea of creating a HUD-like hands list, holdem manager alike. If it’s not hard to code you could even add a few checkboxes across the hand to define marking category. And (or if you stuck with the current method, you can at least) create keyboard shortcuts to mark hands.
Overall I’m quite happy with PT4. The interface works flawless, not linux’ish anymore (compared to PT3) and also not overloaded as HEM2 (ribbon sucks), a few to none errors in closed beta phase :~)
